Experimenting with alternate titles

Here I tried an alternate masthead however after some experimentation I decided that I preferred this style below:

Feedback to my NEA brief+ comment

 

I have thought up a name for the jazz magazine-New Jazz this is because other jazz magazines have jazz in the name, for example Jazz Times and Jazz Wise so it fits the norms of the jazz magazine sub genre to have jazz in the name as a clear appeal to those interested in jazz. I called it New Jazz to show its focus on the contemporary jazz scene and the influence of jazz upon music as an art, and the focus on young, contemporary, 'new' jazz artists, which the target audience of 16-25 year olds are more likely to have heard of, and relate to due to closeness in age and a shared cultural capital.

Magazine, maybe have them pose as a reference to a famous singer/artist that the target audience of 16-25 would know. May have one cover that focuses on instrument playing/skills. Close up on artists face.

My attempt at making a music video

I've learnt that you have use multiple shooting angles, have someone mouthing the whole song so that you can switch between that and other footage or use it in case you can't use footage or in other scenarios as having someone lip sync sing the song gives you very versatile footage as it can be used anywhere making it very valuable for the music video brief. I would have added more footage that would've illustrated the lyrics like the camera tilting up when he's sings 'and i'll see the sun'

My attempt at making a big issue style front cover

 I've learnt that although photoshop can be challenging at a times, it is a very useful tool as it has features which I can use to accomplish my vision and do tasks especially as I get more experienced with  photoshop and I take more time to get comfortable with it. I'm pleased that I was able to 'capture the vibe' of a big issue cover with the bright colours, pun and use of a celebrity/ elite persons. What I would change is I would add some smaller features like the date and issue number just to make the cover more accurate to real big issue front covers.
